The Telekom Srbija company is the winner of the St. Sava Award for exceptional contribution to and continuous investment in the sphere of education made over the previous year. One of the leading projects of the company in this sphere is the We Create Knowledge campaign within which Telekom Srbija provided information equipment for 20 elementary schools in Serbia. The special importance of this project is reflected in the fact that it was implemented in the year when information science became a compulsory subject in all the elementary schools. The recognition is granted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development to individuals, institutions, associations and companies for their contribution to the quality education and upbringing of children.

On behalf of the Telekom Srbija company, the award was received by the head of the PR Department, Marija Bošković. “It is a great honor that our company has for the second time been listed among the winners of the St. Sava Award. I would like to thank you for recognizing the importance of numerous socially responsible projects that Telekom Srbija is implementing and their results of which we are very proud. The priority of the company is investment in education, which has a central place in our strategy. This is also shown by the fact that in 2017 alone we supported 45 projects, with an aim to create better conditions in the sphere of education, and that our leading activity was exactly the We Create Knowledge project, by which the company also marked the 20th anniversary of its operations. In this manner, Telekom Srbija maintains continuity in creating a favorable environment for personal and professional development of young people“, said Marija Bošković.

At the end of last year, Telekom Srbija donated more than 3,000 titles of national and world literature to schools throughout Serbia. It traditionally fosters successful cooperation with the Mathematical High School and the schools specialized for young talents. Apart from support to formal education, the company contributes to the development of informal education and it is committed to encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit in young people through the mts app competition and the mts startup acceleration projects and cooperation with student organizations.
