Telekom Srbija is the winner of the highest order of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Order of St. Sava of the first degree, which was granted to the company’s CEO Predrag Ćulibrk by Serbian Patriarch Irinej, on Feb. 7, as a sign of gratitude for the company’s continued participation in the activities of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The award-granting ceremony for special merits was held on the premises of Telekom Srbija in the presence of senior representatives of the company.

“I am exceptionally honored by the opportunity to receive a high order of the Serbian Orthodox Church and also express gratitude on behalf of the company for the recognition of our numerous endeavors in the sphere of charity”, said Telekom Srbija CEO Predrag Ćulibrk at the order-granting ceremony. “The religious order of the highest degree is also a recognition of all the activities of the company that have contributed to the Serbian Orthodox Church and we are very proud of this. I have the honor to thank His Highness Serbian Patriarch Irinej and the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church who by this recognition have put our company in the ranks of those who apart from their primary activity have a higher aim of helping others”, said Predrag Ćulibrk.

At the award-granting ceremony, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej said that it is a great honor to him to on behalf of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Holy Synod express his gratitude for all that the company had done for the church, St. Sava Temple, the Chilandari Monastery and other religious units and institutions. “The Serbian Orthodox Church grants the highest award for the company’s charity and wholehearted help to the church and monasteries, and participation in numerous humanitarian activities of our Holy Church. This Order is a symbol of our gratitude to the company for all its efforts and continuous acts of humanity“, said the patriarch. Telekom Srbija, through its corporate philanthropy program and by launching projects from the sphere of socially responsible operations, pays great attention to the progress of the society in which it operates, and to which it will be committed in the future. Therefore, the Order of St. Sava is not only a recognition of what the company has already done but also an additional obligation for the company to persist on the path of charity in the future.
